How Google user data is handled
Overview
PT is a private, personal-use, non-commercial travel monitoring application operated for a single household. It is not offered as a public service.
Google data accessed
PT requests Google Calendar authorization for the purpose of creating and managing a dedicated calendar created by the application. The application uses this access only for PT-generated reminder events associated with tracked travel information, benefits, credits, and planned trips.
PT is not designed to read, copy, analyze, modify, or delete events from unrelated personal calendars.
How Google data is used
- To create the dedicated PT calendar.
- To create, update, and remove reminder events generated by PT.
- To keep those PT-generated events synchronized when tracked information changes.
Storage
OAuth authorization credentials required to maintain the Google Calendar connection are stored privately on the operator's self-hosted system. They are not displayed publicly and are not intentionally shared with third parties.
PT may retain tracker-generated event identifiers and related local metadata as needed to keep the dedicated calendar synchronized. PT does not intentionally store unrelated Google Calendar content.
Sharing and sale of data
Google user data is not sold, rented, used for advertising, or shared with third parties for marketing. Data is transmitted to Google only as necessary to use the Google Calendar API and maintain the dedicated PT calendar.
Retention and deletion
OAuth credentials are retained only while the Google Calendar integration is enabled. Access can be revoked from the user's Google Account, and locally stored credentials can be deleted by the operator. PT-generated calendar events can also be removed from Google Calendar.
Security
PT is self-hosted. Google OAuth credentials are kept in restricted local storage separate from this public informational website. This website does not receive or store Google OAuth tokens.
Google API Services User Data
PT's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
